Nelson was pretty much our last stop in South Island, so we made it a point to enjoy the last part of our trip to the ferry, with a lovely drive winding along Queen Charlotte Sound with a stop at the Mussel Pot for a fresh mussel lunch. That night we said goodbye to the South Island as the ferry slowly took us away from the island once again through the Marlborough Sound on its way back to Wellington.
